Design for Black Liberation

I was first inspired to create this A1 sized poster project in 2020 when I discovered Emory Douglas, a graphic Designer for the Black Panther Party. As an undergraduate student, I created a timeline cataloguing the different ways in which Black designers have used bold sans serif fonts in the fight for Black liberation. Recently, I revisited the project, adding new works by contemporary designers and rethinking the text layout toimprove readability.
